Making Felicity — the Clothes

I took pictures throughout the “Felicity” project. In the previous two posts, I shared the body construction and the head sculpting.  This post is about the clothing and shoes.

I started with brown and white checked cotton. I dyed it salmon. Here, I’ve basted the top together and I’m testing the fit.

Laying out the embellishment on the skirt.

Sew the top and bottom together and add a ribbon belt with a vintage buckle.

I sculpted a boot form:

They look like leather, but they’re painted cloth.

All done!
